Programs for Everyone
Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA has multiple program types to match the needs of each Big & Little, including:
Community Based
“CB” matches meet in the community to complete match activities together. Match activities are activities that the Big & Little can complete together that will help to develop their match relationship and have a meaningful impact on the Little, including doing crafts together, cooking simple meals, or playing sports together while encouraging discussions to learn more about each other. Community-Based matched can also meet on video conferencing platforms.
Site Based
“SB” matches are matches that only meet at a designated site (e.g., school, workplace, agency-approved video conference platform, or other site) that is observable (in real time or in review) by BBBS. There are a few variations of SB matches:

Bigs In Blue
Bigs in Blue (SM) is a one-to-one mentoring program that connects youth with police in communities throughout our nation, building strong, trusting, lasting relationships. These relationships can help children develop into confident adults and help build stronger bonds between law enforcement and the families they serve. The Bigs in Blue program is unique in that it can be Site-Based or Community-Based.
Beyond School Walls
BSW is a workplace partnership program that facilitates one-to-one mentorship in a real-world office setting that includes a life skill curriculum for the matches to follow. There are many benefits to this program, including mentorship by a business professional, exposure to new career options, learning workplace skills, and developing self-confidence.
